Tax ledgers for common carriers, 1945-1965.

The series contains the road tax receipt ledgers which recorded taxes paid per mile by common carriers regulated by the Florida Railroad and Public Utilities Commission and its predecessor, the Railroad Commission from 1945 to 1965. The ledgers contain recapitulations of monthly totals of the mileage tax, daily abstracts of revenue, and tax histories of the companies. Some of the types of companies included are bus lines, trucking companies, freight forwarders, express and postal services, taxicab and limousine services, and storage and moving companies.
